A Haitian outreach group discussed the impact of its mobile health clinic program at an open forum in Orangeburg on Tuesday.

The forum was hosted by the group Rockland County Haiti Relief.

The forum was attended by dozens of community members, university students and local leaders like Rep. Mike Lawler.

They came to learn about the impact of the group's free mobile health clinic in Haiti.

Organizers said the discussion comes at a crucial time for the community here in the United States and in Haiti.

"Haiti, again today is still facing problems. Our job as an Haitian American organization is to keep the hope of that country alive," said Renold Julien, president of Rockland County Haiti Relief.
