A Rockland County 911 radio operator played a crucial role in helping a Pomona mother deliver her baby last Saturday.

Geoffrey Dick coached the caller and the baby's mother through the birthing process, while his partner coordinated with Haverstraw and Rockland paramedics, as well as Haverstraw police.

Thanks to their efforts, the mother and her new baby boy were able to safely make it to Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
