A country club in Rockland County has proposed a residential development for New City.
News 12 got an exclusive look at the Paramount Country Club's project that would add 247 homes on 31 of the properties in 217 total acres.
The proposal would also offer units to first responders at a lower cost.
It is also expected to have a deed restriction to preserve green space and generate about $3 million in taxes a year.
"It's a rare opportunity to have a site where we can bring a product that doesn't exist in the county or in the area to the area. And that will really help people who have sort of been on the fence about whether they want to stay or not. We also think it's going to be a huge enhancement to the local businesses," said the club's Steve Lapper.
