The Rockland Community College Board of Trustees approved a resolution Monday night that will help cut costs as it navigates a multimillion-dollar deficit.
Among the steps - the spending of funds is on hold other than grants and certain exceptions. A hiring freeze and a travel ban are also being implemented.
Contracts currently under review are on hold. The college will not enter any new contracts.
Last fall, the college eliminated nine administrator positions. It said faculty, administrators and other employees would go nine days without pay during the first half of this year.
