Rockland and Orange County executives faced off Thursday night in the name of charity.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus was victorious over Rockland Executive Ed Day in a three-lap go-kart race at the Palisades Mall.
The race was one of many happening in our region to benefit Penguin Plunge of Nyack.
The organization helps families with seriously ill children by paying for medical bills and supplies.
This year's efforts will benefit two little girls from the Hudson Valley.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus said, “it’s supporting families that really need it most, and as a father of four, it really hits home.”
Between the race, a silent auction, and donations organizers hope to raise $10,000.
