Putnam Valley Supervisor Robert Tendy defeated incumbent Adam Levy in the race for Putnam County district attorney Tuesday night.
Levy was hoping to secure his third term in office.
Tendy had pulled out a surprise upset over Levy in the Republican primary. Tendy said many voters assured him that they were backing him.
Levy chose to maintain a low profile on Election Day. During a News 12 debate, Levy claimed Tendy's entire campaign was built upon nothing more than misstatements and outright lies.
