A man walked into a Bank of America branch in Goldens Bridge, handed a teller a note and walked out with cash Thursday afternoon, according to police.
K-9 units tried to pick up the scent of the robber, who police said managed to vanish without a trace with an unknown amount of money. State police said they don?t know if he fled on foot or by car. They don?t believe he was armed.
State police also said the man may have hit other banks in the surrounding areas before. They hope bank security cameras can provide clues to the identity of the suspect.
Hours after the robbery, customers were back doing transactions at the ATMs. Some said they were concerned about the robbery, but relieved only money was stolen and no one was hurt.
State police urge anyone with information to call 914 -277-3651.
