Fall is nearly in full swing, and Barton Orchards in Poughquag is offering a full-blown festival experience in the heart of Dutchess County.

The orchard features everything from a five-acre corn maze and haunted house to food trucks, pedal karts, and pig races. "The very beginning 34 years ago, I looked at trying to create an atmosphere that made it worth driving a distance," said owner Peter Barton. "The Hudson Valley is just an amazing place in the fall."

Families can enjoy the Fun Park, designed with young kids in mind, and pick from over 24 varieties of apples. Barton Orchards also has three bars on site and its famous cider donuts. "We are probably the leaders in the Hudson Valley as far as offering a nice day out for the whole family," Barton said.
