A retired Yonkers schoolteacher is fighting mad over a hefty cable TV bill for porn she says she never ordered.Claudia Lee, 62, says Cablevision charged her more than $1,100 for porn and gangsta rap programming she never ordered. Lee told the cable provider that she wasn?t even at home on the dates the shows were ordered, but the bills kept coming. Lee says the problem occurred in December when she decided to connect her cable TV, phone and Internet in one Cablevision plan. Lee says she has paid $779 to the company and was told to pay an additional $652 or face having her phone, Internet and television service cut off.
A spokesperson for Cablevision says the company is suspending Lee?s charges following a full investigation and are going to work with her to ensure that this matter is appropriately resolved. Cablevision is the parent company of News 12.
