Police in Cornwall are investigating the shooting death of a retired NYPD officer.
State troopers say the former officer was found dead from a single gunshot wound to his head outside of a home on Church Street at around midnight.
Neighbors said he was visiting the village for a weekend wedding.
Police are looking into the possibility that the officer took his own life.
Autopsy results are pending.
