16ds agoResorts World Catskills in Monticello is preparing to reopen its revamped Monster Golf Club.
The newly renovated golf course is set to begin a condensed preview season on Aug. 29, following a substantial $40 million redesign investment by Resorts World Catskills.
The course, originally designed in 1963 by Joe Finger, was rated by Golf Digest as one of America’s 100 greatest golf courses.
Using holes from both the current Monster Golf Course and the Old International Course, the course was completely redesigned by legendary course architect Rees Jones.
Golfers looking forward to teeing off at the course can start booking tee times starting on Aug. 15.
