The Peekskill waterfront could soon be getting a major makeover.
The city had its first public meeting last night at the Field Library to get residents' input on changes they'd like to see.
Peekskill was awarded a $50,000 grant to spruce up the waterfront section. City officials will also ask for another $50,000 from taxpayers.
Some businesses are hoping the plans will bring more hustle and bustle to the area.
Another public meeting on the waterfront redevelopment is expected later this spring.
