The Westchester County Board of Elections was packed two days ahead of primary day.
Officials say 25,000 new residents have registered to vote and that absentee ballots are through the roof this year.
During the 2014 gubernatorial primary, 13 percent of voters turned out. This year they are expecting 18 percent.
Many credit the increase due to President Donald Trump, because they say he has motivated both sides of the aisle.
The Democratic and Republican commissioners at the Board of Elections agree that Trump will draw voters to the polls Thursday and in November.
Republican Doug Colety believes Trump supporters will be motivated because they are pleased with his performance. Democrat Reginald Lafayette told News 12 that the anti-Trump vote will speak even louder.
