Residents on and around Midland Avenue, stretching from Kimball Avenue to Bronx River Road, say they were never notified about new metered parking on the westbound side of the road.
Residents say it all began back in January when "Parkmobile" signs were placed on the westbound side of the road, with no date for when the metered parking would begin.
The Parkmobile app prompts users to pay through their phone a certain amount of money for the duration of the vehicle being parked.
On March 1, residents say they woke up to tickets on their cars for failing to pay the meter.
They, once again, said they were never notified about when the metered parking would begin, and that many of the signs did not have hours posted on them.
Parking on the westbound side would be going from free to costing $1.45 per hour, according to the app.
"I would like them to remove all the signs and the cost...it's more of an inconvenience, than a cost-effective gain for the city," said Midland Avenue resident Mary Ellen McDonough.
Residents also expressed frustrations for older residents that live around the area, saying parking will no longer be easily accessible.
News 12 contacted the Yonkers Parking Authority but has not heard back.
