Construction on the Henry Hudson Parkway is pushing some traffic onto narrow streets in Riverdale.

Detours have vehicles, including large buses, traveling down Independence Avenue, which residents say is dangerous for drivers and especially pedestrians.

News 12 saw several different bus routes navigating the street throughout Monday, including the Bx1, Bx3 and Bx10.

The New York State Department of Transportation says it expects those detours to end in mid-November.
