An Ohio man faces charges in Dutchess County after allegedly firing an illegal handgun at a vehicle in a road rage incident.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Dutchess Turnpike near Degarmo Road, according to Town of Poughkeepsie police.

They say Joseph Prigosen intentionally shot at a car, police said.

Prigosen is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. He is scheduled to return to court on Monday.
