Thousands of Christians from around the world marked the resurrection of Jesus Sunday at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan led the Easter service, and also took a moment to reflect on the terrorist attacks in Belgium and pray for the victims.
Many people who attended the service said the service was memorable because it was their first Easter Mass at the cathedral.
"Cardinal Dolan is amazing," said Marian Rastelli, of Pearl River. "I met him four years ago at the St. Patrick's Parade in Rockland in Pearl River and he was so kind, too."
