For the first time, Republican candidate for governor Rob Astorino weighed in on Gov. Andrew Cuomo's trip to Israel along with the New York delagation.
Gov. Cuomo, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and Senate co-leaders Jeff Klein and Dean Skelos continue to show support for Israel during the Middle East conflict.
Some New Yorkers who are in support of Palestine are not in favor of the governor's trip.
Republican candidate for governor and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino held a fundraising event in Rye Wednesday and says he agrees with the governor in this case. The governor and the New York delegation return to the United States on Friday.
Both Israel and Hamas also agreed Wednesday to a new five-day cease-fire.
