Report: Teen unemployment lowest since 1950s

According to the Bureau of Labor statistics, unemployment among teenagers ages 16 to 19 stood at 9.6% last month.

The nationwide worker shortage is apparently giving teens more opportunities to find the perfect summer job.         
According to the Bureau of Labor statistics, unemployment among teenagers ages 16 to 19 stood at 9.6% last month.
That's a level not seen since the early 1950s.
In May of last year, it was just shy of 30%.
