Report: FBI, US Attorney's Office investigating Gov. Cuomo's COVID-19 task force
The FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Brooklyn have reportedly launched an investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration's coronavirus task force.
The Albany Times Union reports that the feds are focusing on the task force's handling of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities during the pandemic.
As News 12 has reported, the governor has come under fire after a report by the state attorney general's office said COVID-19 nursing home deaths were underreported by nearly 50%.

Cuomo has admitted that mistakes were made, but says there was no cover-up.
The report says the investigation is in its "early stages."
A spokesman for Cuomo acknowledged there is an investigation underway, saying in part, “As we publicly said, DOJ has been looking into this for months. We have been cooperating with them and we will continue to.”
