The Eastchester Fish Gourmet Restaurant is under construction after a 79-year-old man crashed his car into the dining room window on Monday.
Police say the driver stepped on the gas instead of the brake, losing control of the vehicle and slamming into the restaurant located on White Plains Road.
"He drove all the way through the restaurant and hit the other side of the restaurant with his car," Rick Ross, owner of the restaurant, says.
The restaurant was closed at the time of the crash, and no one was injured.
The driver is not expected to be charged and the Eastchester Fish Gourmet Restaurant is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday.
