Rep. Lawler announces legislation to rename post after former Dutchess County sheriff

Hudson Valley Congressman Mike Lawler has unveiled new legislation to rename the Holmes Post Office after Sheriff Adrian 'Butch' Anderson.

A Dutchess County leader will be honored with a building dedication.
Hudson Valley Congressman Mike Lawler has unveiled new legislation to rename the Holmes Post Office after Sheriff Adrian 'Butch' Anderson.
Anderson was the Dutchess County Sheriff and died in September of last year. The 72-year-old veteran law enforcement officer also served as mayor of his hometown of Pawling from 1983 to 1991.
Anderson joined the department in 1970 and was elected sheriff in 1999.
