? Cabbies in Tarrytown say a stimulus-funded renovation to the Metro-North train station is drying up their cash flow.
Drivers say due to the renovation, they must now park in a lot blocks away from the station.
?[It?s] not how we work,? says cabbie Fernando Sanmarti. ?We used to park in front of the station and get passengers quickly.?
The $39 million renovation includes a new platform, two pedestrian overpasses, heated shelters, a new public address system and closed-circuit cameras. It is expected to be completed by 2012.
One cab driver estimates that because of the renovation, he?s losing 30-40 percent of his business.
