As the economy has plummeted, CUNY officials say the university system has seen its highest summer enrollment in nearly two decades.
Bronx students say the rising unemployment rate has persuaded them to enter the City University of New York and gain better skills.
Students say another advantage to summer school is that remedial classes are free.
