The recently transformed Boyce Thompson Center in Yonkers held a tree-lighting ceremony Tuesday.
The building was an eyesore for decades until the 20th century building was given some 2017 flair back in May.
The center, which used to be a botanical research center, features an 18-foot tree as the centerpiece of its holiday decorations.
The 85,000-square-foot building is home to 11 tenants now, who were all a part of the celebration.
While there are still open spaces in the building, developers say they are ringing in the new year with the arrival of Starbucks in January.
