HMC Farms has issued a recall for its peaches, plums, and nectarines distributed between May 1 of the previous year and Nov. 15 of the current year.
These products were sold at various retail outlets, including Walmart and Sam's Club.
The CDC has reported eleven cases of Listeria across seven states, resulting in one fatality and a case of premature labor in a pregnant woman.
Among the affected states, California and Florida have reported three cases each, with additional cases in Colorado, Kansas, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.
Although there are no reported cases in New York currently, consumers in the Hudson Valley region should be cautious as these products were sold at local retailers.
If you've purchased these fruits, discard them immediately and thoroughly clean any surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with the contaminated fruits.
