A real estate agent who dealt with a Yonkers doctor and his accused killer tells News 12 he doesn?t buy the theory that money was the suspect?s motive.
Police say Samuel Saunders, 59, shot and killed 46-year-old pediatrician Leandro Lozada because the doctor purchased Saunders? foreclosed home last March. However, Louis Castaldi, of ReMax, says the home was never foreclosed, and he claims the victim and the suspect were friendly from the first day of the sale. Castaldi says Saunders sold the home at 43 Brendon Hill Rd. because he was in the middle of a divorce. Castaldi describes Saunders as a very mild, gentle man.
Yonkers police say Lozada?s girlfriend discovered his body Wednesday after his colleagues called her when the doctor didn?t show up for work at a Bronx hospital. Authorities say they are looking for accomplices in the crime.Related Information
