Rapper DMX is speaking out after being released from prison.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, served only two months of his six-month sentence for not paying $400,000 in child support.
Simmons's lawyers says the 44 year-old rapper from Yonkers is fighting the conviction, claiming he didn't know he owed that money.
In an interview with WKBW-TV, Simmons didn't discuss the case, but talked about being a celebrity and everything that comes with it. "I jaywalk and it's in the news! You're talking international news, that's a good thing, that means people still care. It's the only thing I hate about being famous, you never know who really loves you, because everybody's there. If their love never gets tested, you never know."
Simmons is due back in court in November. If the judge determines the rapper knew he owed the money, he will have to serve the remaining four months of his sentence.
