One Rockland County school district is taking its competitive sports to a new level.
The new esports “arena” inside Ramapo High School was made possible through the use of Federal Title Funding for technology.
This is the team’s first season, and they are the first school in the county to play competitively against other schools across New York.
A handful of the players are likely to make it to the playoffs in a few weeks.
School officials say they hope to be able to add a team to Spring Valley High school next year.
