Rally held in Yonkers to protect reproductive rights

Organizers say women's rights are universal and should be defended every day.

Dozens of residents, organizations and local officials rallied at Van Der Donck Park in Yonkers Tuesday to protect reproductive rights.
Organizers say women's rights are universal and should be defended every day.
Those who attend say they hope their message is heard for generations.

"It is very important that not only are our voices heard but that we rise as an example from the generations to one another, I think it's important for young people to see my silver head saying you know what I'm not too busy for this, your life matters, you're in your reproductive years, as a mom it's important for me to demonstrate it for my three girls," said Amy Beth, of Hastings. 
While the Supreme Court hasn't finalized an abortion decision yet, there are more planned rallies around the region that continue to try and send a message to lawmakers.
