Thunderstorms and strong winds left some Westchester residents in the dark Sunday, causing dozens of power outages in the county.
The rain also flooded several roadways and forced the temporary closure of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon. Some residents say they saw cars being towed from roads near the Pelham and Mount Vernon border.
Neighbors on Spring Street in Mount Pleasant say they experienced a few power surges Sunday afternoon, but were lucky the power didn't completely go out.
