This year's Academy Awards ceremony is mired in a racial controversy.
There's been a call to boycott the ceremony because African-American actors and actresses were not nominated for a second consecutive year.
Wilbur Aldridge, the NAACP's regional director in the Hudson Valley and Westchester, says his organization has not yet made a decision on supporting a boycott, but the list of nominees causes him some concern.
Aldridge says the process needs to be made more inclusive. "Begging for acknowledgement, or even asking, diminishes dignity," says Aldridge.
