As work continues on the new Tappan Zee Bridge span, questions still remain regarding the Rockland County end of a shared bicycle and foot path.
South Nyack residents objected to the original plan for the shared path, the west end of which was to be placed at the intersection of a residential neighborhood.
After months of negotiating, the west end of the path will now be placed in an area that is part of the bridge's construction until at least 2018. The specifics of that area are still unknown.
South Nyack Mayor Bonnie Christian tells News 12 that she hopes to have more information on parking and other facilities for the path by the end of the year.
