A push to change the name of a Yonkers school is gaining momentum days after Cesar Chavez’s name was removed from the building.

The renaming process began following new allegations claiming the late labor leader sexually abused women and girls.

An online petition to restore the original name, Cedar Place Elementary, now has more than 200 signatures.

Supports say the original name has deep community roots.

School officials say they will have an update next month.
