Local officials in Rockland held a meeting to address a controversial video from Rockland's Republican Party that quickly turned into a heated debate.

Tuesday night's agenda included praise for elected officials who condemned a video released by the Republican party that many believed to be anti-Semitic. A line of residents wrapped around the building, with some saying they aren't anti-Semitic for not wanting overdevelopment in their town.

The campaign ad post on Aug. 23 portrays proposed housing of the Hasidic Jewish community as a threat to the county's schools and overall way of life. It has since been taken down.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Attorney General Letitia James both denounced it. Cuomo called the ad the definition of discrimination.
