Protesters fill White Plain streets to demand rights for immigrants
Hundreds gathered on Martine Avenue in downtown White Plains Monday to rally against President Donald Trump's immigration proposals.
While holding signs that read, "No ban, no wall" and "Don't make us hate again," they listened to speakers like White Plains Mayor Tom Roach.
"In our city, the police will not inquire about your immigration status," he said.

Those rallying said President Trump’s immigration proposals are divisive and destructive.

The rally was organized by the largest property service workers union in the country, which employs tens of thousands of immigrants.
