With control of congress now up for grabs in November, the race for New York's 18th Congressional District has become a crucial battleground.

Freshman Democrat and Iraqi War veteran Pat Ryan is fighting to defend his seat against two Republicans – entrepreneur Lovelynn Gwinn and former 25-year NYPD veteran Alison Esposito.

Esposito and Ryan spoke with Tara Rosenblum about the issues affecting voters in the district.
