It has been a year since Russia invaded Ukraine – sparking a war that has resulted in thousands of casualties, millions of refugees forced to flee their homes, and heightened fears between Russia and members of NATO of a large-scale confrontation.
Despite holding off Russian forces, it appears the two sides are no closer to a resolution than they were when the fighting began on February 24, 2022.
