Poughkeepsie teen charged in deadly Wappinger crash

A teenager from Poughkeepsie is facing manslaughter and assault charges for a deadly crash that happened last year in the Town of Wappinger.

Jaheim Parkin, 19, was allegedly speeding and driving erratically when he crashed into a pole in October, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office.

A passenger in the car, 23-year-old Yanique Jackson, was killed. Three others were injured.

Parkin was arraigned on Wednesday and is due back in court in December.
