Poughkeepsie police say a woman's body was recovered from the Hudson River Sunday afternoon.

They say someone reported seeing a body in the river around 2 p.m.

First responders rushed to the scene after receiving calls.

The body had yet to be identified and cause of death was still under investigation as of Sunday night.

Police are asking the public's help to report any missing persons.
