Police announced Sunday night that the Poughkeepsie Galleria resumed normal operations after an investigation prompted an evacuation of the mall.
Police would not say why, but what was being called an unspecified threat forced the evacuation and the complete shutdown of the mall at around 3 p.m.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department issued a statement and would only say, "There is no threat to the public at this time." It said the decision was made with Galleria management to evacuate the mall out of precaution.
News 12 called the Town of Poughkeepsie police for details and was told by a dispatcher, "We have nothing to release at this time."
