A Port Jervis man is facing charges after police say he stabbed his wife.
Police say Lenard Best, 39, attacked his wife during a fight outside their home on Ball Street Monday. They say he sliced her hand and also hit her in the head and chest with the butt of the knife.
He's charged with assault and possessing a weapon. He is being held at the Orange County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
His wife is recovering today.
