A Port Chester man is making a difference by spending three to six hours a day picking up garbage in his community.
Victor Sotelo works in landscaping and construction, but his service to the community isn't mandated. He cleans up garbage out of his own volition and free will.
The 29-year-old says he had been watching Facebook videos about the planet dying and realized people need to take care of it. One day, he picked up a trash bag and started picking up garbage. That was almost two months ago.
Sotelo's goal is to clean up the community one piece of trash at a time and accomplishing that goal takes more than one person. He believes anyone can help by just not throwing out garbage in the street.
