The "Green Jobs Fair For An Emerging Economy" event was held in Port Chester Friday night which aimed to create jobs that help save the environment.
An organizer told News 12 these are the jobs of the future, with positions offered in everything from green energy construction to solar panel installers.
Job seekers and recruiters turned out in force. The event featured 25 companies with about 200 jobs that were offered to those with the right qualifications.
Job seekers and companies that sought to hire met face to face, all in hopes of finding the perfect fit.
Paul Presendieu, of Soulful Synergy, LLC., said the company offers positions in facilities management, electricians, construction laborers, solar technicians just to name a few as well as people who are looking to be in conservation practices.
