Ulster County detectives say 22-year-old Marco Rivera began a relationship with the girl in July 2020 after meeting on Snapchat.
Police say they later met up on more than one occasion and had sex.
Rivera was arrested last month and charged with felony rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
