Police are warning residents after bear sightings were reported in Yorktown.
Police say there were two bear sightings in Yorktown around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
One was seen near Turkey Mountain, by Route 118 and Route 129.
Police say the other sighting was reported near the area of Pine Bridge Road and Syska Road.
The Department of Environmental Conservation says to never approach, surround or corner a bear.
