Two men from Chile were arrested for allegedly trying to burglarize a home in Harrison Friday.
Police say Piero Antonio Morales-Marchant and Paul Anthony Montecino-Leiva tried to get into a local residence by breaking a back window.
They fled to their residence in Queens and were arrested shortly after with the assistance of the Nassau County Police
Department.
Both men are being held in Westchester County Jail.
Investigators say the men are members of the so-called South American Theft Group.
Police say members are known to enter the country illegally or by exploiting a visa waiver "tourism" program and carrying out thefts nationwide.
