A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back following a large fight in Mount Vernon Tuesday, police say.
According to investigators, the unidentified victim was attacked at South 6th Avenue and 2nd Street at around 3:20 p.m. while police were breaking up a fight involving 300 teens. The cause of the brawl is being investigated.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police say two people were arrested following the incident.
Sources say a hit list was discovered on the social networking site MySpace that included the name of the 17-year-old victim and two others who were previously killed.
