Police say a teen was shot in the leg Friday in Yonkers and that several people are in custody.
They say the incident occurred in the area of Cliff and Spruce streets.
Officials say the injuries to the 14-year-old male victim are not life threatening. He went to a trauma center for treatment.
Police say they believe there is no threat to public safety.
The area of the incident is about a four-minute drive from where a 17-year-old was shot less than a week ago on Sunday.
Police said that shooting likely stemmed from a fight and the teen shot was eventually arrested for illegally having a gun.
