A suspect was arrested after breaking into and stealing belongings from a Scarsdale home, police say.
Investigators say a woman heard a noise in the sunroom of her Fox Meadow Drive home Sunday morning. She allegedly walked in on an intruder who promptly fled on foot.
Within minutes, officers were searching for the suspect, who was caught blocks away.
Police say the suspect managed to get away with some valuables, but the items have since been returned to the homeowner.
The latest incident comes after crooks broke into three homes in Bronxville in less than two weeks. In the Bronxville cases, the suspects entered the homes through second-floor windows before taking off with cash and jewelry. Police have not said whether the Scarsdale break-in is related.
Authorities are warning people to lock their doors and windows, and urge them to immediately report any suspicious activity.
